Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) has announced their final tour called “The Over and Out Tour” which will play over two dozen cities in North America in the fall of 2024. The tour will start in Palm Desert, California on August 24 and will end in Los Angeles on October 25. Jeff Lynne is the only remaining original member of the Electric Light Orchestra band that will be part of the final tour.

A Change of Plans and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Lynne had previously said that he was not planning to go on the road again after their 2019 tour, which was the same year their latest album “From Out of Nowhere” was released. But something changed his mind, he said, “I just got talked into it by somebody on the radio [in 2013]. It was for charity, and we only had two numbers. That’s all we practiced for so we had to do ‘Mr. Blue Sky’ twice because we hadn’t learned enough songs for the encore. But it went down so great that then the BBC invited us to the Hyde Park concert for Radio 2 [in 2014], and that’s what got us started, really.”

ELO was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, and they released their first album since 2001, “Alone in the Universe” in 2015.

“The Over and Out Tour” is being billed as the band’s final shows and will play 27 cities in North America after kicking off in California. The band will make stops in various cities, including Seattle, Cleveland, New York, and Denver. Presale tickets for The Over and Out Tour will be available starting Wednesday, March 16, and general on-sale tickets will be available Friday, March 18. Exclusive VIP experiences will also be available on March 20th at 10 a.m. local.
